Exchange Student in Need of Host Family

Exchange student desperately in need of a host family! Please see below and contact Stephanie Brown if you are interested in hosting (or know of someone who might be.)

Hey friends! I need your help, this great girl lost her family and we need to get her placed so she can stay in Alabama! Meet Margherita from Italy. She likes to play tennis, and draw and she likes to play the clarinet. She says that she chose that instrument because she is fascinated by the sound.
When asked what she would like to do with her host family, she answered ” I would like to do any open air activity. I would also like to visit historical sites, museums, and art exhibitions”.
Margherita is a well rounded young lady that would make a great addition to any family. If you are interested in hosting Margherita or know someone that might be interested, please contact me. Stephanie Brown. stephanie.brown@efexchangeyear.org

What an Awesome Week!

MPAThis week has been a bit of a blur, so completely packed with activity – but one that has left me with a full heart. On Tuesday and Wednesday, after weeks of grueling work, our amazing RMS Symphonic Band earned an overall superior rating at State Music Performance Assessment, alongside their also amazing older counterparts, the Southside High School Symphonic Band. We are all especially elated for Mr. Weaver and the Southside High School Wind Ensemble for earning straight superiors Wednesday night, setting an outstanding precedent for our middle schoolers to follow. Thank you, students, for all of the unbelievable amount of time and effort you have invested in making our bands so successful! Your music is a reflection of your hearts.

On Friday and Saturday, Adam Parton, Jose Arquitola, Kennedy Carter, and Hayden Davis represAll Districtented the RMS Band at District 2 Honor Band, putting together a wonderful concert in only about 8 hours of rehearsal. These students truly reflect the kind of excellence in both musicianship and character to which our motto, “Where the Pride Begins” refers. Congratulations, you guys, and thank you for representing us so well.

With a sleepy but satisfied smile on my face,
Mama Probst
